“Jada Saves
the Day!”
A Cybersecurity Adventure
Written by SiS founder Kayli Battel, Jada Saves the Day is about a girl who refuses to sit back when a cybercrime threatens her brother's robotics team. She proves what we already know: girls belong in tech.

The first children's book made for girls in cybersecurity
Jada loves robots and programming. So when a rival team secretly plants malware in her brother's robotics competition system, she doesn't wait for someone else to fix it. She races against the clock to expose the scheme and save the day herself.
Written for K–5 readers in a “read to me” format, the story weaves together friendship, family, and the thrill of solving a real cyber mystery. Illustrated with colorful line drawings, it's been called “the first children's book specifically made for little girls interested in cybersecurity.”
Co-authored by Dr. Sreyoshi Bhaduri and Dr. Lilianny Virguez alongside SiS founder Kayli Battel and illustrator E. Kidd.
We bring Jada to your classroom
Our volunteers visit schools, libraries, and clubs to read Jada Saves the Day aloud, then lead real conversations about cybersecurity and digital safety with students.

Sparking curiosity in real classrooms
Since launching in January 2023, Jada Saves the Day has been read to K–5 students across greater Phoenix. Kids connect with Jada immediately, drawn in by her determination and the real-world stakes of the cyber mystery she's racing to solve.
After each reading, students ask questions, share what they already know about staying safe online, and walk away believing they could be the next Jada.
